Erik went on a solo mission to catch some bass sunday afternoon. With only rod and big hammer swim bait he set anchor in 60 ft of water. Catching bass was his main target reeling in some nice 2-3 pound calicos he decided to stay a while. Next, he had a nice bite, but this time it felt more like a Black Seabass. Not knowing what he had on his 15 pound line he faught patiently until he had some color. Sure enough it was a 45 pound White Seabass. He grabed the gaff and stuck the fish.
It was a late night after some stormy rains we tried our luck hoping for lobsters. Set our pots at the breakwall hoping to catch some legals in some pretty heavy conditions. Our first set we pulled up 10 shorts, things were lucking good for us as we dropped the pots in a little deeper water. Waited another thirty minutes and pulled again. This time the pots were a little bit heavier. Once we got the second pot up this nice seven pound lobster is looking up at us. With everyone in disbelief and almost stunned by the size we almost forgot to get the lobster in the boat, we then grabbed the lobster and threw it on the deck. After that we caught a nice 5 and 3 pound lobster. Decided that was the best we could do we headed back to the harbor and called it a night.
